Katie is an actor, model, and improviser in Portland, Oregon. She started acting at the age of seven when she landed the role of lead jumping bean in a Missoula Children’s theater production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Since that harrowing day she has gone on to follow her passion for playing the strangely comedic yet important role in movies, plays, and commercials. Katie has been described as “an American version of Canadian Fringe Artist; friendly, funny, and never says quite what you expect.” Primarily based in Portland, Oregon, she spends a majority of her time performing improv and sketch comedy for Curious Comedy Theater. Recently she has been seen in State Fair of the Union a Sketch Show. The Portland Mercury reviewed her role as the obnoxious TV host saying that it was “played horribly perfectly by Katie Michels”.
